The Michigan Association for Gifted Children Fall Conference is coming up soon and this year it is local!

This year’s conference is headlined by Susan Winebrenner, national authority on Cluster Grouping and author of Teaching Gifted Kids in the Regular Classroom.  Other featured speakers include experts in acceleration, assessment, and the social and emotional needs of gifted children.

These seminars will help parents, teachers, and school administrators of gifted children more effectively meet their needs and provide the right education for them.  Teachers and administrators can even earn SCECHs, State Continuing Education Clock Hours!

For gifted youth, the conference features many workshop activities, both STEM and artistic.  They can play with Lego Mindstorm robots or create art with clay and balloons.

Local gifted schools and vendors with products to enrich the experiences of gifted children will be available to talk to or purchase items from.  Prizes from many of these vendors will be raffled off at the end of the day!

Best of all, it is in close-by Auburn Hills and is inexpensive!  For $45 member / $55 non-member, you get an entire day of excellent and informative speakers, a taco bar lunch, and the opportunity to meet other parents with gifted children and teachers committed to meeting the needs of gifted children!

Thank you for reading Rochester SAGE.  Together we can make a difference for gifted children!
